Celebrating a confluence of India’s oldest dance forms
News
Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Odissi are India’s oldest and most famous dance forms that have become a global symbol of Indian culture. Tridhara, is a union of these 3 celebrated dance forms that aims to nurture and promote the craft.
On 21st October 2018, Tridhara celebrated an evening dedicated to these 3 iconic dance forms. Held at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha, Kothrud, the stage was brought alive by 3 pillars of today’s generation of Indian classical dancers- Sujata Mohapatra, Prerna Deshpande and Rama Vaidyanathan. Their performance was a prayer and dedication to three Hindu Gods- Jagannatha, Krishna and Rama.
At VJ, we feel proud to have been part of this magical evening that not only enthralled the people, but added a special chapter to the glorious legacy of Indian classic dance forms.
